How much did you pay for photography school ?
- All of my schooling was paid for by my employer. Wow! $80, 000. If I saved up every last dime I made it would take me 4 years to save up that kind of money. Since I have bills it would be more like 15 years. If you are going spend that kind of coin on schooling you should become a mechanic, optometrist or plumber. Probably a wiser investment, a better return! I always tell people that photography is a hobby NOT a profession. I have never found any living wage or profit in photography
- about 16 grand to get my ociate's
- well, I am just at a community college right now, and the tuition cost me nearly $200, and that is just for one semester, so I need to do that for every semester, and it is a minimum two year college, so I'd be paying a minimum of $800 for those two years, but the chances are that I will probably be going there longer than two years. I am not finished, I plan on going to the Pasadena Art Center College of Design, and tuition there will cost me $15, 000, YIKES!
- I went to an art school and majored in photography. It cost about 33, 000 for each year, and that was without dorming
- I am currently going to the Art Ins ute of Colorado, working on my BA in Photography. My total tuition will be about $90, 000. but since I have been able to get grants and scholarships, it will be a little less they're really worth applying for. I was just like you before I started. I was really worried about the tuition. I was determined to become a photographer though, so I went ahead and enrolled. and I am so glad I did! I have learned so much since then. I have seen your work. You definitely have the talent and skill of a real photographer. Even if you do not decide to go for the Bachelor's, I think you should look into the Diploma or ociate's program. You could always take your gen eds somewhere else and transfer them in to cut down the cost too. *** Also, another option you have is to get your ociate's, then start your business. After you start your business, you can go back and get your Bachelor's. that tuition becomes tax deductible! something I learned in my business cl
- Oh god help me. NO>. do not do it. OK the Dad in me comes out. I did my college with NO loans and I cringe everytime one of the kids gets a loan to pay for college. Back in the 70s, yes a very long time ago. I payed less then a grand per year for photo only college. I would never do that now. I would only do a four year college with some photo as part if it and lots of other cl es including business and accounting if you want to make it as a photographer you NEED more then just photography to make it work. So, find a real good four year program where you can do the photo and the business. You will find your much better off when it is time to make a living with your photography
