Being Featured in a Photography exhibition or gallery?
Can someone help me outline the process to be featured in a photography exhibition or gallery. I have no idea how to be featured in one in the NY Metro or Stamford, CT area Thank you!- All you really have to do is put your portfolio together, and bring it from studio to studio. Like the person before me said, thats all you can really do. Just make sure you explain your work the way you want to, and push from them to show your stuff. Your in New York too, Just do something diffrent And I am sure you will be noticed. Good luck :
- You could try a different approach to having your artwork displayed in an exhibition or gallery. Photography compe ions often feature the winners in an exhibition. It might be in a gallery, a touring exhibition or on - line. Apart from the exposure you will get, there are also some generous prizes. Then when you approach galleries, you will be able to show them that your photography has already been featured in an exhibition and that might open more doors for you. - My ex husband is an artist, and he took all of his paintings / pictures door to door to all of the galleries, clubs and hot spots he could find. He found that to be the best way to get into the door to be able to exhibit his art. You just gotta put yourself out there until you find the place that will show your work
